K-5th Grade:
Directors: Josh and Kensey McCullock
Our dynamic K-5th grade class consists of a time of worship, prayer, a visual object lesson, small group discussion, and a game/connection time. We use Hillsong’s BIG curriculum – that meets the kids where they are at with practical life applications founded in Biblically based truths.
Josh and Kensey have been leading the K-5th ministry for two years. Josh has a degree in Ministry from Ouachita Baptist University and enjoys utilizing his experience to bring engaging lessons to the class. Kensey loves building relationships with the students and helping to build their confidence in knowing their identity in Christ.
Pre-K:
Director: Riley Slob
Our Pre-K class time features worship, snacks, a Bible lesson, game time and a craft. The self-created lessons try to teach core lessons behind commonly heard Bible stories. They let the kids know that God is good, prayer is powerful, Jesus is healer, and many more important concepts.
Riley uses her past studies at the Columbus School of Supernatural Ministry to help create her own class curriculum. She also has an associates degree in Social Work and CPS training that allows her to connect and minister to both children and extended families. She loves to use crafts and visual demonstrations within her class to help the children understand and retain the lessons being presented.
Toddlers: Chelsie Henkel
Our Toddler class features dynamic worship, snack time, play time, and a story time. Within the class, important lessons of kindness and sharing are presented. The kids are taught about how much God loves them and are encouraged to be thankful for all the good things He gives them.
Chelsie Henkel uses her experiences as a stay at home mom and lifestyle coach to bring energy and love to the toddlers classroom. She loves helping the kids to see a relationship with God and going to church as fun and exciting by making the class as interactive and energetic as possible.
Infants:
Joe and Jeni Trail
Our infant class features lots of love, worship music, and God’s truths being spoken over the babies. It is much more than babies getting fed, changed, and played with. Gentle Worship music is played in the nursery in order to maintain a calm and purposeful environment and a nursery curriculum called Baby Beginnings is used to minister to the infants and allow their first year of learning to include how much God loves them.
Joe and Jeni Trail make the perfect power team to head the infants class. Joe’s cool and collected temperament calms any baby, and Jeni’s fun and vibrant personality can make all the babies giggle. Your infants will be well loved and taken care of in our nursery!
